La galerie Elsa Meunier est heureuse de preésenter « Unveil the Truth », une exposition qui rassemble l’artiste danois Benjamin Sasserson, l’artiste polonaise Karolina Szwed et l’artiste napolitain Claudio Coltorti. Il s’agit de la première présentation à Paris de Benjamin Sasserson et de Karolina Szwed ainsi que de la quatrième collaboration de Claudio Coltorti au sein de la galerie.
Au travers des illusions qu’il fait naître, le peintre donne les clés du réel. Lentement, le passage du pinceau superpose couche par couche un récit personnel pour l’étendre vers l’interprétation du regardant. « Unveil the Truth » raconte ce réalisme distant, altéré par une tension qui entoure chaque sujet. Il ne s’agit pas de situer, mais de révéler une force vitale. Les corps sculpturaux de Claudio Coltorti vibrent dans le cadre resserré, tandis que Benjamin Sasserson fait émerger les formes par des jeux de clair-obscur. Karolina Szwed, quant à elle, isole l’objet, le décale, et imprègne une scène lointaine d’un sentiment de flottement. Réunis, les artistes nous emmènent dans des mirages qui prient l’œil de s’en habituer. Prendre le temps de se perdre dans leur travail, où atmosphère mystique et anachronismes se mêlent, est une navigation dans cette brume, la traversée de ponts qui relient des inspirations d’époques antiques, médiévales et contemporaines.
Lire la peinture, c’est mettre de la distance entre ce que l’on voit, ce que l’on croit voir et ce qui ne se voit pas. Avec « Unveil the Truth », Benjamin Sasserson, Karolina Szwed et Claudio Coltorti nous montrent que face à la toile tendue, lever le voile pour décrypter les messages ne se fait pas d’un seul geste, mais dans un effeuillage progressif et résonnant. Cette toile est un écrin, où se jouent les prolongations d’une recherche, où s’y confrontent le langage des symboles et la diversité du temps. Dans cette élaboration complexe de l’œuvre, c’est sous ces multiplicités de sens que réside, en son sein, un ancrage viscéral.

The Elsa Meunier Gallery is delighted to present ‘Unveil the Truth’, an exhibition bringing together the Danish artist Benjamin Sasseron, the Polish artist Karolina Szwed and the Neapolitan artist Claudio Coltorti. This marks the first exhibition in Paris for Benjamin Sasserson and Karolina Szwed, as well as Claudio Coltorti’s fourth collaboration with the gallery.
Through the illusions he creates, the painter offers the keys to reality. Slowly, with each stroke of the brush, a personal narrative is built up layer by layer, extending into the viewer’s interpretation. ‘Unveil the Truth’ explores this distant realism, altered by a tension that surrounds each subject. It is not a question of situating, but of revealing a vital force. Claudio Coltorti’s sculptural figures vibrate within the confined frame, whilst Benjamin Sasserson brings out the forms through the interplay of light and shadow. Karolina Szwed, for her part, isolates the object, shifts its perspective, and imbues a distant scene with a sense of floating. Together, the artists draw us into mirages that challenge the eye to adjust. Taking the time to lose oneself in their work, where a mystical atmosphere and anachronisms intermingle, is like navigating through this mist, crossing bridges that connect inspirations from ancient, medieval and contemporary eras.
To interpret a painting is to create a distance between what we see, what we think we see, and what remains unseen. With ‘Unveil the Truth’, Benjamin Sasserson, Karolina Szwed and Claudio Coltorti show us that, when faced with the stretched canvas, lifting the veil to decipher the messages is not achieved in a single gesture, but through a gradual and resonant unravelling. This canvas is a showcase, where the extensions of a quest play out, where the language of symbols and the diversity of time confront one another. In this complex elaboration of the work, it is beneath these multiplicities of meaning that a visceral anchoring resides at its core.

Claudio Coltorti est un peintre italien basé à Paris. Diplômé de l’école Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris en 2016, l’artiste a depuis exposé son travail à de nombreuses reprises notamment à l’occasion d’expositions personnelles à Paris (galerie Hussenot, 2023 et 2025) et à Naples (galleria Acappella, 2020, 2022, 2024). Son travail a également été exposé dans des expositions collectives en France, en Grèce et en Italie. Et l’artiste a participé à des foires internationales en Italie: à Arte Fiera, Bologne (avec la galerie Romero Paprocki en 2026 & avec galleria Acappella en 2025) et à Artissima, Turin (avec la galerie Jousse en 2025 ; avec galleria Acappella en 2024).

Claudio Coltorti is an Italian painter based in Paris. Graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2016, since then the artist exhibited has exhibited his work extensively notably in solo shows in France (galerie Hussenot, 2023 et 2025) and Napoli (galleria Acappella 2020, 2022, 2024). His work was shown as part of group exhibitions in France, Greece and Italy. And the artist took part in International art fairs in Italy : at Arte Fiera, Bologna (with Romero Paprocki gallery, 2026; with galleria Acappella, 2025) and at Artissima, Turino (Jousse gallery, 2025; galleria Acappella, 2024).

Karolina Szwed is a polish painter based in Warsaw. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, graduating in 2022. Szwed’s work has been shown in galleries, institutions, and art fairs in Poland, China, Germany, England. These include: Inside-Out Art Museum (Beijing) ; Turnus gallery (Warsaw) ; JVDW (Düsseldorf); MOCAK (Cracow), BWA (Katowice), NADA Villa (Warsaw), VARIOUS OTHERS (Munich), Vienna Contemporary, and Alice Amati (London). Unveil the Truth is her first exhibition with galerie Elsa Meunier and in Paris.

Parmi ses expositions collectives, on peut citer « A light here required a shadow there » chez Maximillian William, Londres (2025) ; « Self- Portraits » chez GRIMM gallery, New York (2024). L’artiste a également présenté une exposition personnelle avec Painters Painting Paintings intitulée « He Never Said a Mumbling Word » (2023). « Unveil the Truth » marque la première exposition de l’artiste à Paris et avec la galerie Elsa Meunier.
